Bethpage Water District is currently providing
chlorine-free water to the public under a waiver received from the Nassau
County Department of Health. We are one of a few water suppliers in the entire state
that meet very strict health department standards. Bethpage Water District,
by annual testing of backflow devices and by frequent
bacteriological testing,
ensure that the
water does not need the addition of chlorine for disinfection purposes.
