The
Bethpage Water District provides and maintains 1056 fire hydrants in
it's district and has installed 5 foot reflective masts on our fire
hydrants to assist the fire department in locating fire hydrants in
emergency situations. We test each one twice per year so
that they are ready for emergency use. Fire hydrants may only be
used by Water District personnel or the fire department. If you
see a fire hydrant that is being improperly used or is damaged, leaking,
or otherwise in need of repair, please call the Water District to have
it checked. |
